Psalms 34 and New Design...!

This morning during my time with Jesus, I came across this verse and it was a blessing to me and I wanted to share it with you all!

“The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.”
(Psalms 34:22)

This verse tells us that even though sometimes we feel “desolate and afflicted(Psalms 25:16), God never has and never will “leave us nor forsake” us (Hebrews 13:5). This verse in Psalms 34 cross-references with 1st Kings 1: 29. In this verse, a dying King David looks back over his adventurous but very hard and trial filled life and realizes that even though it may not have felt like it at the time (for remember, he was also the one who penned the words of Psalms 34:22 at another time in his life) the LORD his GOD redeemed and delivered his soul out of ALL of its/his troubles and distresses! ALL of them! So take a moment to “greatly rejoice” and “sing” unto the LORD with all your soul, which HE has redeemed! (Psalms 71:23)  And for those of you dear sisters who are struggling in some way—“trust in Him!” He shall NOT leave you desolate! He’s holding you in the palm of His mighty hand! Trust in the One who redeemeth the souls of all His servants out of ALL their distresses! I am praying for you dear sisters! Stand strong in the battle!

Also, you may have noticed that my blog has recently undergone a makeover! A sweet sister in Christ and fellow blogger from Ladies of Virtue so generously gave of her time and extreme talent to make it the way it is now!!! J She added several new features to it as well! His Princess Warrior now has a button!! There's also a handy feature she added that I'm excited about-- I tend to list alot of Scripture that I don't quote, so now, if you rest your mouse/cursor over the Scripture it will come up and enable you to read it! I am SO thrilled with the new design, and I hope you all enjoy it as well!! I'd love to hear what ya'll think about! But I'd like to say "thankyou SO MUCH" to Ruth from Ladies of Virtue!! I greatly appreciate the awesome work you did!

  3. Dear Katie, I had to respond to the funny comment you left on my blog about your cat. My cats don't jump up on the kitchen counters very often at all (thank goodness for that!!) but they definitely invade my sewing room every chance they get and are experts at getting in the way and creating chaos. When I first started sewing (before I had a proper cutting table) I used to lay my fabric and patterns out on the living room floor on top of a folding cardboard cutting platform. My cats would lie in wait until I would get everything arranged just perfectly, and then they would come racing around the corner, leap onto the fabric I had just laid out on the cutting platform and "hit the brakes". They would go shooting off the cardboard platform just like they were on a slip-n-slide. Oooooh, how I used to fuss at them for doing that!!!!! But, of course, they didn't care. They would just wait until I had laid everything out again and then they would do it all over again.

Kitties are wonderful little companions, but they definitely teach us patience, don't they! And it is *impossible* to stay mad at them when they look at you with their big beautiful eyes, and then of course, when they purr I am ready to forgive anything.

I loved reading the story about your cat jumping on the counter to "help" you in the kitchen. It really made me smile and I appreciate your sharing it! :)

  4. Oh Katie, I love the new design!! It's very beautiful! :)

I am truly sorry it has taken me this long to reply!! Thank you for being so patient with me. ^_^

I have been up to quite a bit lately! lol :D Lots of family stuff and spending a lot of time with friends and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ! It's so wonderful to be surrounded with so many people who have such a strong faith in the Lord! :)

Heehee, there's always something I need prayer for. lol ;P I would very much appreciate it if you would pray that I would learn to put my trust in the Lord only and to be humble. :)

Right now I'm not reading any books besides my school books. :) I'm reading one called What If Jesus Had Never Been Born and it's a very good book!! :)

My devotions have been quite challenging lately. Heehee, the Lord keeps showing me things that get my ears tingling. ^_^ Things that seem to jump off the pages in my Bible and scream "LOOK HERE! LISTEN! PAY ATTENTION!" lol ;) Mostly He is teaching me about being humble and putting my trust in Him and Him alone. :)

Life is wonderful right now!! My dad is doing very good! I'm just praising God and thanking Him for all His wonderful blessings!! :) Thank you for asking!

What have you been up to lately? Anything you would like me to pray about for you? Has the Lord been teaching you anything new? How are things in your gray world of Michigan? ;) Any books you've been reading that you're enjoying?

Thank you for the sweet comment Katie!! I always enjoy hearing from you!! :)

    Love in Christ!
