Devotional Thoughts from Psalms (#2)

 

Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Psalms 25:8-10

 

Only because God is GOOD and UPRIGHT will He teach you and I, sinners saved by grace, in the/His WAY! By the grace of God, be MEEK!~ for it is the meek He teaches His way (see Psalm 25:7a)

 

What is meekness? Some have defined it not as weakness, but quiet strength. Others have defined it as greatness/power UNDER CONTROL (the Control being God’s!) (Also see Psalm 25:8-9)

 

THEN! All these “His paths” (in Psalms 25:4) we need to and should desire Him to teach us, are MERCY and TRUTH unto those who/ such as keep His covenant and His testimonies (or, in other words, those who obey Him and the commands laid out for them in His Word!)

So let us, by His grace, and with truly pure motives, and for HIS glory, strive to have meek and quiet spirits today! Obey the Lord and His commandment! And He WILL teach you and guide you in His way!!
